Getting to use our home grown veggies!!

Beer Can Chicken Y'all!

Well, after much waiting and anticipation....if you have ever planted a garden you know the feeling!!! We have some goodies that we are starting to be able to eat!!! My sweetie did his famously delish grilled beer can chicken! OMG!!! The seasoning and the process makes the chicken so tender and yummy!!! A definite must try!!!

To compliment our grilled beer can chicken we grabbed a few Marconi peppers from our garden, they have gotten huge, along with some chives and basil! Can we say FRAGRANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow the basil smells amazing. Have some in a glass in the kitchen just because! LOL!!!


Marconi Peppers


We made some stuffed peppers to place on the grill...really simple to make: Marconi peppers (rinse, cut the tops off and clean the insides)
For stuffing, mix: cream cheese (left soften at room temp for a bit), chives, sausage (if you like), salt/pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese. Fill as much of the mixture inside as you can then place aluminum foil on the ends...we placed in a little broiler and popped them on the grill for a few so they weren't on direct heat. The outside of peppers will start to char a bit, that's okay, turn them...then pull off after just a few minutes/check. You will definitely want to keep an eye on them!!! Just want to make sure all the cheese is good and gooey! Also made some corn on the cob-great/easy homemade meal!!!




We were definitely ready for dinner after smelling all the wonderful aromas!!!
